The weather in Florence changes a lot during the course of the year in a typical mediteranean cicle. The four seasons are very well defined, thus, it is very cold in the winter, gentle in the spring, hot in the summer and rainy in the fall. In the winter it may snow and the temperature can well go below 0° Celtius (low twenties in Farenheit). Gloves, scarves and furs are adviced. The spring is a little rainy, expecially in March, but the temperature is much warmer and one can go out with a shirt and a light jacket. The summer is really hot: shorts and sleevless shirts are needed. The fall is rainy and cool.
